Trevor and Western Heights
Mack, an 8th grader, has been coming to POP pretty much all year so far. I met him at club, but I have gotten to know him better through helping out with basketball. He has a good foundation in Christ already. He has been talking to his friends about Christ… inviting them to church wit him, to POP and to other Christian events. Eight of the basketball players have been coming to POP as result of him inviting them and talking to them about Christ. He has become the “chaplain” for the basketball team, doing the prayer before each game. He is growing into a great advocate for Christ to his peers and shaping up to be a powerful student of influence!

Potential - Marcus
When I first met him he wasn’t all that confident and kinda kept to
Himself, but being involved with him for over a year, He has grown
spiritually, physically(lost weight), and relationally with his peers.
I mentor him directly now because he wants to go into ministry eventually.
NW Classen - Arlesha

The best part of Youth for Christ is the “impact club” and opportunity to meet teenagers who are happy about the Impact club at their schools. They go home and share the Gospel with their family and friends. You do not just minister to them you are also training up student leaders (disciples) who are ministering to their families and friends. I had a teenage girl tell me, “She never knew her family crazy home environment could improve, all she knew was yelling and shouting before (its frustrating).” She is now teaching her family how to pray together, work through problems, and arguments. And that’s what ministering to youth is all about, reaching the lost and allowing God to be the counselor, protector, deliverer, and peacemaker.
Psalm 28: 6 Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy.
God Bless,
